Time for a cold one.
Any big plans for the weekend? They’ve started to Reopen the Economy™ here in TX, but we’ll probably still hang out at home. Took a walk last night, saw lots of people and very few masks. I am very much looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow.
Perhaps somebody can tell me about that awesome truck. I’m digging the little windows on the front. Looks like a widened cab?
Have a great weekend, y’all.

I think I’m going to take advantage of the state park loophole in our lockdown and head south tomorrow. Should be raining which will limit the number of fellow escapees. And give me some streams to cross.

State parks in TX opened yesterday. I would imagine that the popular parks will be full (and therefore closed) by 9:00 am. Not even gonna try.

I don’t think I have plans tomorrow. Sunday will be nice. Birds at the feeder... chilling on the front porch. Waitingfor a storm to roll in. It is 60% chance all day tomorrow. I don’t think we’ll be going out still any time soon. My wife took a drive to the “ Justice Center” where the cardboard recycling is, first time driving in 5 weeks.
Side note: those trash cans on both houses... that’s against our HOA: “visible from the street” but I don’t care. I got a letter from the HOA shortly after moving in because mine were like that. Soon after Most of the cul de sac Got new residents and those two are some of them. We get along with everyone, not so much everyone with each other. It’s interesting living in Suburbia.

Friday night is my Monday morning. I shouldn’t complain since I’m grateful to still be employed but it doesn’t make it easier to wake up and head out
Just got to hold on till 11 when the weekday crew clears out and I get the department to myself. Hopefully earlier if it's slow.

Everybody has their little kingdom. We get along fine with our neighbors. I take turns watching the house with the guy across the street. He used to travel to Europe regularly, and he keeps offering to give me some dope. I used to smoke a long long time ago, but it does sound tempting sometimes. The neighbors on our left are really nice, and the ones on our right I haven’t spoken more than a “hello” to in the 8 years they’ve lived there. But they’re quiet, so no problems. On the whole, I’ve got a good quiet street with considerate neighbors. Fortunately very few rental houses.

R ight now I’m about to get drunk while watching day 2 of the NFL Draft.
Next week it sounds like I’ll be back at work 5 days a week instead of working only 3 or 4. I’ve been getting full pay, but they were having us cut back our actual work days
to be safe. I’m lucky to work for this company.

You’ll get a kick out of this then. This is my next door neighbor to the neighbor behind me, and the liquor store manager & GF who is renting the basement. I’ve watched the moose while they are on vacation ( Great Dane). I’ve been debating going full oppo, but I don’t really have problems with her. You van tell out property lines because my lawn is trashed and shitty.. lol

Enjoy. Have the Bears picked anybody decent? We watched the first few picks last night. It’s ridiculous how they drag it out. Joe Burrow looked thrilled to be goi ng to the Browns.....

Sounds like somebody needs a fence. Good fences make good neighbors.

I had to look it up, because I didn’t remember the Bears pick. They didn’t have one because they traded it.
I was driving back from Rock Springs, Wyoming during the first round so I listened to it on the radio . If you think things seem dragged out on TV, try listening to it instead. Meanwhile, I’m glad my team actually managed to pick the guy they wanted without panicking and trading up or something .
When the Pats pick came up a little bit ago, ESPN cut to Bill Belichick’s house and there was no one in the shot except for a dog sitting at his computer. “With the 37th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots select an old, dirty tennis ball.”
